Charpie Leadership Institute

The Charpie Leadership Institute is a year-long leadership program to train students in civic and democratic leadership. This program is open to rising sophomores, so we are currently recruiting first-year students for our inaugural cohort next year. This program is particularly targeted to students with an interest in politics, democratic decision-making, civics, advocacy, and social transformation. Whether you aspire to be a senator some day or see yourself marching through the streets demanding change, this program is designed to give you the skills and tools to do that work effectively. This year-long program includes a for-credit course during the Fall semester, one-on-one mentoring throughout, and access to up to $5,000 from a fund earmarked for professional development and civically engaged projects. Applications for the Charpie Leadership Institute are due by April 8th.
